OutageGuide

About

OutageGuide is a reference for the hours and days after the lights go out. We cover what food is still safe to eat and when to throw it, how long different battery and generator options actually last, and how to manage heat or cold without HVAC — with specific numbers, not vague reassurance.

We don’t sell gear or push affiliate links to expensive prepper bundles. The guidance here is drawn from USDA food safety data, OSHA generator safety standards, and utility emergency response protocols. If a claim needs a number, we find one. If something is genuinely uncertain, we say so.
